The tests seen an updated sedan Mercedes C-ClassMarch 18, 2020
Journalists captured the prototypes of the next-generation compact Mercedes C-Class sedan (index W206). It seems that the appearance of the car will not get big changes.
These test cars continue to wear heavy camouflage that hides the entire body. These machines use camouflage as special panels, and conventional film. Apparently, the designers do not intend to radically change the appearance of the next-generation C-class, because the overall silhouette looks very similar to the current one.
The new C-Class should receive many more modern engines, including hybrid and plug-in hybrid engines.
Spy shots show that a high-performance Mercedes-AMG C53 is already under development, which can use the A45 S turbocharged 2.0-liter engine with 416 horsepower. Rumor has it that the more powerful C63 will also receive this power plant, but only with the addition of an electric motor to it, thereby leading to an increase in overall performance.
We can expect that the C-Class will receive the latest version of the MBUX infotainment system with two screens – one for the dashboard, the other for the “multimedia” itself. A wide range of active safety technologies and driver assistance systems will also be available.
The updated MRA2 platform, on which the novelty will be built, can increase the space in the cabin. The new generation of Mercedes-Benz C-Class will receive a front suspension with a double wishbone in combination with a multi-link rear suspension, which should provide a comfortable ride.
