The tests saw the next generation Fiat 500e electric carFebruary 19, 2020
In snowy Sweden, a prototype of the updated Fiat 500e electric car was seen. The presentation of the car may take place at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2020.
Very soon, we should be shown a completely new generation of electric Fiat 500e. Strongly camouflaged prototypes of the new items have been repeatedly seen on test races. Well, in these pictures from the tests of an electric car, the prototype of the car is closed from prying eyes by masking films like never before.
It seems that Fiat really wants to present the most effective novelty in all senses – it is studying the behavior of the car in all weather conditions, since this time it was seen in the snowy areas of northern Sweden.
Cold weather can affect the power reserve for electric cars – the current version of the 500e could not travel far on a single charge – only 160 km. According to insiders, the new product will be able to boast not only an increased power reserve, but also better performance. The Italian-American concern Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has announced a new platform for its future electric vehicles in 2018 and the Fiat 500e will be the first to use it.
However, there is still very little information regarding the details of this new architecture. The new Fiat 500e will be able to drive 320 km.
The standard version of the Fiat 500 hatchback will continue to be sold in its current form along with a fully electric design. The new 500e will be sold as an electric car in the 2021 model year. The presentation of the car may take place at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2020.
