The tests saw a prototype of the updated Mercedes-AMG E63 2021June 8, 2020
Journalists captured a camouflaged prototype of a high-performance German novelty. The official presentation of the Mercedes-AMG E63 2021 model year will be held in the very near future.
Despite the fact that it was previously said that the Mercedes-AMG E63 of 2021 will debut closer to the end of April of this year, now we have June, and we have not yet been shown the long-awaited novelty. As part of this article, we want to show you the next batch of “spy” images from car tests.
The test prototype of the model, which was seen on the Nurburgring race track, had camouflage only on the front bumper. Well, the branded three-pointed star is simply absent, as well as the “V8 BITURBO 4MATIC +” badge, but there is no doubt that these elements will certainly appear in the serial version of the car.
Even the existing camouflage film on the front actually does not hide much, since we can easily see the false radiator grille with vertical slats, which received a different design. It looks like the air intakes and the lower grille have been “quietly” updated in the bumper, and another diffuser has appeared in the rear bumper.
Another subtle change that we noticed at the rear of the machine is related to the exhaust system – four separate nozzles are used. The current AMG E63 has two lugs on both sides of the rear bumper. The pipes themselves seem to have become a little larger in size in order to give the super-sedan a more aggressive appearance.
By far the biggest changes are outside – smoother headlights and wider taillights extending to the trunk lid. We hope that the novelty will receive new body shades and design options for alloy wheels. The latest version of the MBUX infotainment system is expected in the cabin.
