The tests noticed a prototype crossover Audi Q5 SportbackJuly 7, 2020
Some publications published photos from the tests of the updated Audi Q5 crossover in the Sportback coupe version. The debut of new items is expected at the end / beginning of next year.
Last month, Audi introduced the updated crossover Q5. We thought that a more sporty performance of the model, with a coupe-like body and the designation Q5 Sportback will also be presented at the same event, but it is not. Today, the new “spy” photos show that Audi is still continuing to test another version of its mid-size crossover, continuing to hide its body under a “swirling” camouflage film.
When the Q5 Sportback arrives, it will have the same updated front and rear designs that Audi has given the usual model performance. You can expect the Q5 Sportback to get the latest MIB 3 infotainment system with a new 10.1-inch touch screen.
The novelty should be equipped with standard safety features, such as a warning about leaving the occupied lane, parking sensors front and rear, as well as a blind spot monitoring system.
Powertrains should also be the same, which means that the Sportback will be equipped with a standard “soft” hybrid powerplant, which combines a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine and a low-voltage generator with a starter. Power will be 261 horsepower (370 Nm). Also, a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 that produces 349 hp will be available to customers. (500 Nm).
The upcoming Q5 Sportback will compete with the coupe-shaped BMW X4 and Mercedes GLC Coupe, which have a starting price of $ 50,000.
It is known that the regular version of the updated Q5 will cost at least $ 43,300, and a more productive version of the SQ5 will cost $ 52,900, however, expect the Q5 Sportback to have a higher starting price. Sales of the regular Audi Q5 2021 model year should begin in the fourth quarter of this year. Following should follow the market entry of the new Q5 Sportback.
Not so long ago, our publication wrote that Audi will introduce the A9 E-tron electric sedan in 2024. In 2024, the German corporation Audi is going to demonstrate the serial electric sedan A9 e-Tron.
