The teaser of the exclusive Aston Martin V12 Speedster hit the WebJanuary 8, 2020
The British automaker has announced a limited edition Speedster, aptly called the “V12 Speedster.” The debut of new items is planned for this year.
Aston Martin has released a teaser of its latest news – Aston Martin V12 Speedster. So far, we can judge the appearance of this car by a single drawing. It is known that the novelty was created by individual order of the British brand. Its design recalls the DBR1, which won in 1959 at Le Mans, as well as the 2013 CC100 Speedster Concept, writes the foreign portal carscoops.com. Under the hood, the Aston Martin V12 Speedster is expected to see the flagship 5.2-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine with an output of about 690 hp. This is less than the flagship supercar Aston Martin DBS Superleggera. The drive relies on the new rear-wheel drive, and the developers chose the 8-speed ZF automatic transmission for the transmission role.
In total, the manufacturer plans to release 88 copies of the car, which will be sold worldwide.
The V12 Speedster will not be the fastest or most powerful Aston Martin available, however, the owners of the new product will be able to enjoy the twin-turbocharged V12 engine in all its glory. There is currently no reliable information on which chassis the new car from Aston Martin will be based. It can be custom-made aluminum chassis, or finished from DB11 V12 and DBS Superleggera. But the fact that the car will be double – a confirmed fact.
They promise to organize a debut this year already, and the beginning of deliveries is planned for the first quarter of 2021. Prices for the novelty are kept secret for now. Top Gear predicts Aston Martin V12 Speedster will cost £ 750,000 – £ 800,000
