Ford GT Carbon Series became 18 pounds lighter
The Ford GT lineup has a lightweight version of the Carbon Series. Such machines are 18 kilograms lighter than usual and equipped with carbon wheels, titanium exhaust and a polycarbonate engine cover.
Ford GT Carbon Series is additionally equipped with air conditioning and multimedia SYNC 3. However, to reduce weight, the supercar was deprived of the cupholders and the storage compartment for small items from the driver. The exterior has more details of visible carbon: racing stripes, front struts and lower body panels.
In the cabin appeared thresholds made of matte carbon fiber, ventilation vents and a center console. Seats received a special pattern and silver stitching, which is repeated on the steering wheel. Also, Carbon Series supercars are equipped with anodized stalk petals and decorated with a sign indicating the belonging to the special version.
Technical stuffing Ford GT, probably remained unchanged. The supercar drives the 3.5 V6 turbo engine of the EcoBoost family. The engine recoil is 655 horsepower and 745 Nm of torque. The company sells the model only to selected customers. The release of the sports car has recently been extended for another two years, and the circulation has been increased to 1,350 copies.
