The successor to the Lamborghini Aventador will get a hybrid with V12 already in 2020December 24, 2018
Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 has been on the market since 2011, and in 2016 a small restyling was carried out when the model received the LP 740-4 index. And in 2020, the supercar will receive a successor, who in turn will receive a hybrid system.
Over the past few years, we have heard a lot of versions about the future successor to the supercar Lamborghini Aventador. But now more detailed details are known, including official confirmation of hybridization of the V10 and V12 engines, although they will remain atmospheric for as long as possible. At least, the turbo engine is not expected until it will allow environmental standards.
It is expected that the successor will arrive on the market in 2020, and will use a hybrid V12 engine as a power unit. And in 2020 one more model will be electrified – Lamborghini Urus PHEV. The sport utility vehicle will share the system with the Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid. In other words, 680 hp is expected. and 850 Nm of torque.
Also, the technical director Maurizio Redzhani added that hybridization was caused by the need, not the desire of the company.
