The successor Koenigsegg Agera will be called RagnarokAugust 30, 2018
It is assumed that the new hypermarket of the Swedish brand will debut in the next year.
There was information about the next model Koenigsegg. As reported by The Supercar Blog, referring to the “reliable source”, the new hypercar will receive the apocalyptic name Ragnarok. This name is borrowed in Old Norse mythology and means the end of the world, the death of the gods and a possible rebirth.
The car will have the power to justify its name. It is claimed that the engine that is being developed for Ragnarok will produce 1,440 hp, and it will somehow hybridize and develop a maximum of 9,000 rpm. The car mass is planned to be kept within 1,200 kg.
However, all these are rumors that do not quite coincide with what the head of the company, Christian von Koenigsgue, previously reported. He stated that the new hypercar will be equipped with an updated version of the five-liter V-shaped Biturbo from Agera RS with a capacity of about 1 360 hp, which can be untwisted up to 8,800 rpm.
Koenigsegg has already confirmed that the new hypercar will make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2019. Earlier the company had already published a teaser, judging by which the car will have a massive diffuser and a large wing.
Recall, hypercar Koenigsegg Agera RS was the best in the exercise 0-400-0 km/h.
