In Spain, the segment of scooters is quite well developed, as well as electric transport. The local company Torrot already has a line of scooters, but now decided to present the 8kW Velocipedo model, which combines a car and a scooter.
At the past in the Italian city of Milan, Torrot presented its new offspring – the electric Torrot Velocipedo. The purpose of its development was to offer the advantages available in an ordinary electric scooter, but in a safer and more convenient form.
At the moment, in the warm part of Europe, electric scooters of this company are in great demand. The novelty is a three-wheeled moped with two front wheels. In addition, the vehicle was equipped with a light carbon fiber frame with a roof, which helps protect passengers from wind, rain and cold. Another feature of the Torrot Velocipedo was the presence of two comfortable seats of the automobile type, with integrated seat belts.
Unfortunately, while the company does not disclose details, but judging from the name, a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 8 kW * hours will be used as a power source. Estimated power reserve will be about 100-120 km, and the charging time will be from 2 to 6 hours. The cost and release date is not reported.
Meanwhile, the Volkswagen concern is one of the first among auto giants to announce the development of a whole line of electric cars. For this, a special modular platform MEB was created, and now it has become known about the start of work on an affordable SUV with an electric motor.
