The Japanese novelty with zero emissions will be a direct competitor to the current BMW i3. In the basic configuration, the Honda e will get a video camera instead of the traditional side mirrors. Start of sales is scheduled for 2020.
In a recent interview, official representatives of the Japanese brand confirmed earlier rumors that the Honda e all-electric car will be shown in a couple of days. The show of the long-awaited news will be held as part of the legendary festival of speed in Goodwood (UK).
It is reported that now, it will be possible to issue a pre-order for the Honda e, and the first deliveries to customers will begin in 2020 – the serial production of the model is scheduled for the 2020th.
According to representatives of the company, the version of the electric vehicle that will arrive in the UK will be 95% of the production model. The car, which is essentially a serial version of the Urban EV concept presented 2 years ago, will already be offered in basic version with video cameras instead of traditional side mirrors. Due to this, the aerodynamic efficiency of the whole body has increased, which favorably affects the power reserve of the electric vehicle.
Unfortunately, so far there is no data on all the technical details of the new model of the Japanese company. It is only known that the car will receive an electric motor with a capacity of more than 98 hp. Official prices for Honda e, too, is not yet, according to rumors, the initial equipment received a price tag of 35,000 pounds sterling.
The model can now be booked – for this you need to pay 800 pounds. Fees may be refunded if the customer decides to change his mind.
