Experts analyzed offers in the car market, as well as evaluated the results of crash tests from EuroNCAP and made a rating of the best models for the family.
Experts have compiled a rating of the safest family cars, which scored 5 stars in the EuroNCAP crash tests. In first place is the compact Japanese crossover Mazda CX-30. The model is equipped with hybrid power plants and gasoline engines. According to the results of crash tests, the car scored 99% for the protection of adults, 86% for the protection of children and 77% for the work of the assisting electronics.
In second place is the American electric car Tesla Model X, which received 5 stars in the “large SUV” category. The model received 94% for the work of electronic assistance systems. The crossover has a spacious and comfortable interior, and the car is driven by two electric motors with a capacity of 259 and 503 hp.
SEAT Tarraco closes the top three. In the minimum version, the crossover is equipped with a 1.5-liter petrol engine with 150 hp. and manual transmission. As for safety, according to the results of EuroNCAP tests, the car scored 97% for the safety of passengers, 84% for the protection of rear passengers, and 79% for pedestrians. Security systems also scored 79%.
Experts also noted the Czech Skoda Scala hatchback, which received 97% for the protection of front passengers, 87% for the safety of the rear, 81% for pedestrians. Electronic assistants scored 76%. The compact crossover Volkswagen T-Cross with a rich set of assistants already in the “base” entered the rating.
In addition, the rating included two Japanese models: Subaru Forester and Lexus UX. The first car is equipped with airbags and curtain airbags, as well as driver assistants, including the EyeSight complex. The second car is also the owner of 5 stars from EuroNCAP, gaining 96% for front passenger protection and 85% for rear protection.
