The renewed Lister announced a 1000-hp hypercarFebruary 22, 2018
The revived company Lister announced the development of a 1000-hp hypercar, which should become the ideological successor to the Storm model. The teaser of the novelty was published in its twitter by the head of the British brand Lawrence Whittaker.
For the first time, the management of the company Lister Motor talked about the possibility of creating a hypercar that could compete with Pagani, McLaren and Koenigsegg cars in 2014. According to preliminary data, the Storm II received a 7.8-liter V12 engine from Jaguar with a capacity of about 1,000 horsepower. Hypercar will be able to accelerate from place to 100 km/h in less than three seconds, and its maximum speed will exceed 400 km per hour.
The cost of the car will be about two million pounds sterling (2.78 million dollars). The British plan to collect six cars a year. The Lister Storm II will have both racing and road modification.
The original Lister, built on the basis of Jaguar XJR-9, was produced in 1993-1994. Supercar was equipped with seven-liter 12-cylinder engine Jaguar, developing 554 hp and 790 Nm of torque. It was the most voluminous unit, which was installed on serial cars since the Second World War. The coupe is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds, and its maximum speed is 335 km per hour.
At one time, the Lister Storm was considered the fastest road car with four seats. Racing variants took part in various endurance races until the middle of the 2000s.
