This information was shared by Autocar India. The main reason was the coronavirus epidemic, due to which quarantine was declared in India. In this regard, the company, which plans to launch KIA Sonet, may be forced to revise its production schedule. The head of marketing and sales at KIA India said that if the quarantine is extended to June, the dates will be definitely revised.
The premiere of the production version of the KIA Sonet took place at the New Delhi Motor Show in early February this year. The model will become the most compact crossover of the Korean brand. The engine range will receive four power plants at once. The base will be a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated engine with a return of 83 hp. More powerful “aspirated” has a volume of 1.6 liters and a return of 123 hp.
Customers will also be able to choose the option with a 1.0-liter 120 hp turbo engine. and a 1.5-liter diesel powerplant with a return of 90 hp
