The release date of the cheapest Toyota crossover has become knownSeptember 17, 2020
We are talking about the Toyota Urban Cruiser, the official presentation of which took place in the second half of August.
Toyota is gearing up to market its budget Urban Cruiser. According to the portal “New Cars”, cross-country sales will start next week, 23 September. Thus, the car will be delivered to dealers exactly one month after the premiere. Recall that the car was released under an agreement between Toyota and Suzuki, under which manufacturers can largely copy each other’s cars to expand their market positions.
The Toyota Urban Cruiser is very similar to the compact Suzuki Vitara Brezza sold in India. The differences between the two cars can only be found in appearance – the Toyota crossover has a branded radiator grill in the style of the latest Fortuner model, and also uses other bumpers and modified optics.
The length of the novelty is only 3,995 mm, which is the norm for India to ease the tax burden, and the wheelbase reaches 2,500 mm. The motor will be offered to buyers only one – it will be a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine with a capacity of 105 hp, supplemented by a starter motor with a 48-volt generator.
A 5-speed manual transmission or a robotic box is used as a transmission, depending on the configuration, but all-wheel drive is not provided.
In terms of filling, we note the presence of an air conditioner, modern multimedia with a touchscreen, power windows for all doors and a rear-view camera.
