The racing version of Lamborghini Urus went for testsNovember 5, 2019
The first crossover of the Italian brand is being prepared for the racing series, which starts next year.
In the 2020th crossover Lamborghini Urus, or rather – its special version called ST-X, will try its hand in the racing series. Such an SUV gets a stylish yellow-black “livery”, a basket on the roof for transporting goods and a “spare tire” for which there was a place at the stern of the car. The Lamborghini Urus ST-X is in many ways similar to the standard crossover, however, there are some changes in its design – with them the racing Urus has become faster and more aggressive. Auto received simplified bumpers, as well as a large rear wing. In addition, the brand engineers had to reconfigure the suspension and reconfigure the exhaust system.
To participate in the races, the Urus ST-X was equipped with a turbocharged 4-liter V8 engine with 650 hp. We can meet him on road crossovers.
At the same time, the racing model is faster, since its curb weight was reduced by 550 kg – 1650 kg instead of 2,200 for the standard Urus. For driver safety, a safety cage and a sports chair were installed in the cross-country cabin, as well as taking care of a fire extinguisher. The racing version of the Lamborghini Urus ST-X will be presented in October 2020 at the Lambo Trofeo Misano World Finals. Its road version is also unlikely to be released until next year.
Meanwhile, the unique 2006 Lamborghini Concept S is up for auction. For a car that exists in a single copy, they plan to gain about $ 3 million.
