The prototype of the updated hatchback Peugeot 308 was seen on testsNovember 6, 2020
The journalists published photos from the tests of the new Peugeot 308. The prototype of the Peugeot 308 2021 model year is completely camouflaged, but in some places you can still see elements of its exterior.
The current generation Peugeot 308 needs a significant update. The model first appeared on the market in 2013, and those “spy” photos taken over the past few months showed that the development of the new version of the hatchback is going well. In a new batch of pictures, the updated hatchback is presented in a new black camouflage, which reveals much of the exterior design of the novelty.
It looks like the photos show a hatchback ready for production, that is, with a serial body and optics.
This particular copy of the model received a silver body color. You can also take a look at the design of the taillights, which appear to be positioned above the stylized rear bumper. In the front we see the bumper design. Daytime running lights are similar to those of the Peugeot 508 – they also have a vertical shape.
A change in the engine range of the updated hatchback is expected. There are also rumors of a more powerful version of the model from Peugeot Sports Engineering, the successor to the current 308 GTi. The novelty will have four-wheel drive and a hybrid powertrain, like the 508 PSE. The “hot” hatchback could produce about 300 horsepower.
We expect Peugeot to unveil the new 308 early next year, although the exact date remains unknown.
