Reporters captured the prototype of the high-performance BMW M4 coupe again. The new 2021 model year will debut next month.

Our editors have received photos from tests of a camouflaged BMW M4 prototype of the 2021 model year version. Judging by the fact that the car has received significantly less camouflage than before, the Bavarian company is putting the finishing touches on its powerful coupe.

These images were taken in Munich, Germany and show the M4 test car with little to no disguise.

Of course, the front of the prototype is covered in camouflage film, but it doesn’t even cover an inch of the new giant false radiator grilles. The camouflage situation is similar in the rear of the car – the taillights and four exhaust pipes remain clearly visible.

From this test car, the development of the new M4 is largely complete and the automaker is likely making some final evaluations and adjustments to the sports coupe’s electronic systems. Everything else seems to be in final production form.

Under the hood of the novelty will be a 3.0-liter BMW engine with two turbines, which will develop an output of more than 500 horsepower. They will be transmitted via a dual-clutch transmission to all four wheels.

The M4 Pure version with a manual transmission and a 480-horsepower engine will also be available to buyers. There are also rumors of a more practical M4 Gran Coupe.

The official debut of the new BMW M4 will take place in about a month, it is known that the automaker is simultaneously going to show the updated M3 sedan and M4 Coupe.

Not so long ago, our publication squeaked that the BMW M235i could not pass the “moose test”. The current BMW M235i has failed to pass the so-called “moose test”, which is an imitation of an attempt to avoid a collision with an animal that jumped out onto the road.
