The prototype of the most powerful pickup truck Ram Rebel TRX 2021 captured without camouflage

Automotive journalists captured a prototype of the high-performance Ram Rebel TRX truck. The new 2021 model year was virtually no camouflage. The presentation of the car is scheduled for this summer – there are no exact dates.

For a long time, the high-performance American Ford F-150 Raptor pickup truck had no worthy competition. However, this year, the situation will change dramatically – the Ram company plans to unveil its powerful full-size truck Rebel TRX. The novelty is based on the model 1500. A couple of minutes ago, our publication has a video recording of a test prototype of the long-awaited TRX with a little camouflage.

The video does not show much — it was captured from a moving vehicle — but it does show the front of the truck and part of its profile.

So, the long-awaited novelty has received a false radiator grille for Ram’s pickups, as well as wheel arch extensions. The front and rear bumpers look new. The bonnet has a massive bulge with vents.

Under the hood is likely a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 from the Dodge Hellcat. Rumor has it that this will be one of several engines offered for the high-performance pickup. Buyers will also be offered a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 and 3.6-liter V6, which will allow Ram to offer more affordable TRX versions. The most interesting engine, in terms of its performance, will undoubtedly be the V8 Hellcat, which is rumored to be 707 or even 717 horsepower.

It is believed that the high-performance pickup prototype captured does not have all the production body elements. Ram has already announced that the TRX will be unveiled this summer and production is slated to start in the fourth quarter of 2020.

Not so long ago, we wrote that the Ram Heavy Duty pickups have tried on a “very dark” styling package. A special version called Black Edition is available for the rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive Ram 2500 and 3500 pickups. The newest car will appear on the home market as early as Q3 2020.
