The premiere date of the new Nissan X-Trail and Mitsubishi Outlander became knownSeptember 2, 2019
According to the Japanese edition of “Best Car”, the new Nissan X-Trail will debut in the fall of 2020 with the e-Power power plant, which had previously been tested on the Nissan Note.
The main feature of the new power plant is that the internal combustion engine is not connected with the wheel drive. It is only needed to recharge the batteries that power the electric motor. It is noted that the volume of the traditional engine for the new Nissan X-Trail may grow. On the Note and Serena minivan, for example, it reaches 1.2 liters.
The premiere of the new generation Mitsubishi Outlander is scheduled for fall. Experts are sure that this cross will become a X-Trail platform, but the transmission will receive an original one.
In all likelihood, the prototype of the new SUV will be a concept car, which this year was presented twice, but under different names: Mitsubishi Engelberg Tourer and e-Yi. These cars received a hybrid system, which included a pair of electric motors and a gasoline engine.
Meanwhile, it became known about the imminent debut of the new 350-horsepower coupe from Mazda. The first acquaintance with the new product is likely to take place in October as part of the Tokyo International Motor Show.
