The powerful 2021 Audi RS3 sedan is tested at the NurburgringSeptember 18, 2020
Some publications have published test photos of the high-performance sedan Audi RS3 2021 model year. It is expected that the novelty can get power under 450 hp. The prototype was partially disguised.
We are already familiar with the new Audi S3 Sedan. Debuting in August, its understated yet aggressive styling matches Audi’s sports sedans, and its turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder makes 306 horsepower, which is then sent to all four wheels. The more powerful version of the RS3 shouldn’t offer customers something completely new. But without a doubt, this car will be more powerful and dynamic than the usual Audi S3.
That’s because the new RS3 will get Audi’s 2.5-liter turbocharged five-cylinder engine.
We expect it to develop the same 394bhp as the charged RS Q3 crossover, but of course, this information has not yet been officially confirmed. The novelty will receive an all-wheel drive system that will work with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. There are rumors about a more powerful version of the sedan, which boasts 450 hp.
Whether this very green prototype is exactly the version of the novelty that will receive a 450-horsepower engine is unknown. Obviously, Audi is not so concerned with hiding the details of the RS3’s exterior as much of the sedan’s bodywork is in plain sight. It can be seen that the novelty differs from the S3 in front and rear bumpers – they are hidden by the camouflage film.
However, we can see that the RS3 will have a different rear diffuser. The car sits slightly lower to the ground, partly due to the revised suspension. Up front, we see bolder angled vents with additional slats. It’s hard to tell if a subtle spoiler is installed on the chin, but the large rectangular lid that hides the four rings looks almost comical.
Not so long ago, our publication wrote that spy photos of the Audi Q4 Sportback E-Tron prototype appeared. Audi showed off the Q4 Sportback e-tron Concept a couple of months ago, and today, September 12, Carscoops agency shared pictures of the camouflaged production version of the model.
