The Porsche Macan Turbo will be shown very soonNovember 13, 2018
The new version of the crossover will use the same engine as the high-performance crossover Cayenne S.
At the end of July this year, the German brand Porsche introduced the updated Macan crossover. Serial production started in late August.
Compared to the standard Porsche Macan, the “charged” version of the Turbo has a completely different front bumper. The turn signals have moved to the top of the bumper, just below the headlights. In the false radiator lattice you can see special sensors.
A couple of hours ago, “spy” photos of a more productive version of the compact Macan crossover turned out to be at the disposal of our automobile editorial staff; this version received the Turbo prefix to its name. It is noteworthy that the test prototype seen pulls a small trailer behind it – obviously, the brand’s engineers tested the traction capabilities of their new product.
In the rear of the car are twin exhaust pipe system – on the sides of the diffuser. Note also the spoiler, which is located on the top of the tailgate.
It is known that Porsche engineers will equip the new Porsche Macan Turbo with a 2-cylinder 2.6-liter V6, which is installed in the high-performance Cayenne S. In the latter, the power of this engine is 434 horsepower. The same power will be available for the 2018 Macan Turbo with the optional Performance package. So far, there are no data on transmission options for the German novelty, it is possible for the Porsche Macan Turbo to offer the same 8-speed automatic transmission as for the mid-size Cayenne S crossover.
Not so long ago, it became known that the Porsche company will have to buy back the sold diesel versions of the Cayenne crossover.
