The Pebble Beach Competition of Elegance is CanceledApril 23, 2020
It is not surprising that in the coming months virtually no major event, whether national or international, will take place. This also affected the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
Classic Car Week in Monterey, California, USA, is full of prestigious car parties as well as fun Concours d’Lemons, so there’s something interesting for everyone. Concours d’Elegance, annually held at Pebble Beach, announces today that the exclusive event will not be held this year. The reason for this decision is easy to guess: concerns about the possible further spread of coronavirus.
Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance was scheduled for August 16th. This year it will be the seventieth edition of the competition, an event in which not only competitions among the most beautiful representatives of the “classics” take place, but car manufacturers regularly present automotive news. For example, in 2018, Infiniti showed the impressive Prototype 10.
To the dismay of those who hope that the “Elegance Contest” at Pebble Beach will be rescheduled, event organizers point out that the seventieth edition of the contest will take place on August 15, 2021. Anyone who managed to get a ticket can visit the festival next year or, as reported by autoweek.nl, agree on the terms of the refund.
