The owners of the new Skoda Octavia announced the “childhood diseases” of the modelAugust 24, 2020
The specialists of the Czech portal Auto.cz, after studying the reviews of the owners of the new generation of Skoda Octavia, came to the conclusion that mainly the owners complain about the operation of the infotainment complex and software.
The owners of several cars turned to the service center to update the “firmware” of the multimedia system, since the voice assistant Laura did not understand her native Czech language. The problem was solved by installing one of the software options, but sometimes as a result of the upgrade, the airbag control unit was damaged, as a result of which a new one had to be installed.
One of the owners complained that the voice assistant lives its own life. “Once he entered a network search until the multimedia complex rebooted,” he said. In addition, the owner emphasized that the start-stop system does not work properly, and the radio, in turn, turns off spontaneously.
Along with the aforementioned shortcomings, Octavia has problems with pairing gadgets via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and connecting to a Wi-Fi hotspot from an iPhone.
It is worth mentioning one interesting and so far the only case where the infotainment display changed colors after the car was left in the heat. In this case, the reboot turned out to be useless, as a result, the owner was forced to replace the complex.
In addition, it was recently noted that images of the Skoda Enyaq crossover were circulated on the Internet. It should be emphasized that the new model of the Czech automaker should debut on September 1 of this year at a special event.
