The owner of the Tesla Model S could not cope with the management and fell into the river in ShanghaiMarch 14, 2019
The owner of the Tesla Model S in China claims that its electric sedan accelerated on its own and fell into the river in Shanghai.
Xiao Chen told the local Chinese media that when he drove up to the building, the car accelerated and he could not handle the drive. Tesla crashed into the fence, and then fell right into the river. Saved by the fact that the river was not too deep. Due to this, both the driver and the passenger were safe and sound.
Reports of unintended acceleration from various Tesla models have been made previously. In fact, quite a lot of failures related to the manufacturer’s cars have already been recorded. There were also cases of fatalities when the car caught fire after a collision, and the system blocked the door handles and the person could not get out of the car.
Unlike other automakers, the company carefully examines all cases. Each Tesla car has onboard systems that can be used to determine whether or not the car’s acceleration was inadvertent. Personnel from the scene show that the electric sedan is being pulled out of the river, but it is not yet known what kind of “injuries” the car received and whether it is to be restored. In any case, the repair owner will be very expensive.
But often the drivers themselves confuse the gas and brake pedals, so this story will need to be thoroughly investigated.
