The next Mercedes C-Class will be similar to the executive sedan S-Class 2021August 25, 2019
According to insider reports, the new-generation interior of the compact C-Class family will receive the same dashboard and infotainment screens as the next-generation S-Class executive sedan.
We are currently in an era when hefty screens are appearing in car interiors. Brands such as Tesla have made this a true automotive trend – it was in the electric vehicles of the American company that the hefty screen of the infotainment system first appeared. Such a “big guy” is simply impossible not to notice.
Not so long ago, the German brand Porsche published photos of the interior of the first Taycan electric car in its history – there screens are almost everywhere, except perhaps on the front pillars.
So the premium automaker – the company Mercedes-Benz, also wants to join this trend.
According to reports of the foreign edition of Auto Express, the “three-pointed star” will give the next generation of the compact C-Class family a huge touch screen infotainment system, which will start from the bottom of the center console.
This layout will be similar to that of the next-generation S-Class executive sedan. If these two families really will be similar in their screens, then the dashboard will have a separate screen from the “multimedia” display.
The next C-class will be introduced in the next 18 months and will get a new look. The car can be ordered with electrified power units, hybrid and plug-in hybrid motors. And why is the German brand paying such attention to the compact C-Class? It’s simple, this is the company’s best-selling model.
