The newest Lexus LC convertible will be unveiled at the Goodwood Festival of SpeedJune 14, 2019
The Japanese brand finally officially announced the presentation of the acclaimed convertible. The model has long been declassified in official photographs, but now a public debut is being prepared, and, possibly, a demonstration of possibilities.
Lexus press service officially announced its intention to publicly present the LC convertible on July 4 at the Goodwood Speed Festival. According to preliminary information, immediately after the demonstration all over the world its sale will begin. At least in many countries pre-order will open. In spite of the fact that the production version has not really “glowed” anywhere, it will not come as a surprise.
Lexus LC will completely repeat the design of the same-name concept, presented back in January 2019 at the Detroit auto show. The only mystery remains in the roof is whether it will be soft or hard. The salon will be made using a combination of trim with the basic white color of leather seats, and black decorative elements with yellow accents.
Also remain unknown technical characteristics of the serial version. The LC coupe is now equipped with two powerplant options with an atmospheric 5.0-liter V8 engine capable of developing up to 477 horsepower, as well as a hybrid system. The hybrid is built around a 3.5-liter “aspirated”, and has a total capacity of up to 355 horsepower. In both cases, a modern 10-speed automatic transmission is used. It is doubtful that the convertible will be very different from the coupe.
