The new Volvo S60 will receive unsurpassed build qualityJuly 19, 2018
According to the results of the study of American company J.D. Power, this year, the Swedish automaker Volvo took the 3rd place in the quality of the produced cars. Despite this, Volvo management wants to raise this figure even higher.
The cars of the Swedish brand Volvo have always been famous for their quality. According to J.D. Power, Volvo has already been in the lead in the rating of the most reliable automakers for a number of years, the quality of assembly of which is at a very high level.
In 2018, the Volvo brand was able to take the 3rd place of this rating, overtaking such world car market players as Jaguar, Land Rover, Chrysler, Mitsubishi and Subaru.
As part of a recent interview with journalists from the foreign edition of Automotive News Europe, the current CEO of Volvo R & D Henrik Greene noted that the third place was taken by the Swedish company due to the crossover XC90, which debuted in 2014 as a model of 2015. Mr. Greene separately noted that the launch of the serial production of a completely new S60 sedan will help the automaker to rise in the J.D rating. Power.
“The S60 should be the best car in the history of Volvo, in terms of quality,” – Green said. “At the moment, the best model, the quality of which is at the highest level, is the XC60 crossover, which has been mass-produced in our factory in Torsland, Sweden, since 2017. I believe that the S60 sedan will be the best car for the quality of production. In order to find out whether it is so or not, it is necessary to wait a little – in 3 months the official sales of the new Volvo S60 sedan will start. ”
According to Green, Volvo will monitor the quality of the produced S60 sedans and after the sale – will take into account the number of repairs that were made with the car after 3 months of service.
It is known that the serial production of the brand-new Volvo S60, which will be positioned as a 2019 model year car, will be set up at the new brand factory in Charleston (USA).
