The new Volkswagen Golf will not be shown in FrankfurtSeptember 7, 2019
Confirming earlier rumors and reports of an all-new and extremely important eighth-generation Golf, which will appear at the Frankfurt Motor Show next week, Volkswagen announced that the company is not going to take the legendary hatchback to the car dealership.
If the company wants to meet deadlines and deliver the first Golf Mk8 product samples by the end of the year, the premiere should take place shortly after Frankfurt.
Golf of the eighth generation already and for several months flashed not only in a variety of spy photos, where it is caught in camouflage, but also during filming for advertising. The biggest changes in comparison with the previous model occur on two sides: restyled lighting fixtures, bumpers, hood, as well as the grille.
Volkswagen chose a very minimalist approach for the interior, which includes a two-level front panel with a small number of all kinds of physical buttons, as well as modified and moved ventilation openings. An infotainment system and digital dashboard may be included as standard on the hatchback.
The engine range will consist of conventional gasoline, diesel and gas engines, as well as 48-volt hybrids. A hybrid version with a plug-in module is also expected, the mileage of which exclusively on electric traction will be about 80 km. And the top of the lineup of the Golf family, as usual, will be modifications to the GTI and R.
