The new version of the sports coupe Toyota Supra saves fuelApril 4, 2019
Surprisingly, the powerful 6-cylinder engine of the Toyota Supra of a new generation spends not so much fuel.
You will not buy a Japanese sports coupe Toyota Supra or any other sports car in order to subsequently worry about how many liters per 100 km it spends on its engine. Needless to say, the motors of these cars “eat” a lot.
This is exactly the case with the hotly awaited new generation Toyota Supra coupe, which is known by the A90 index. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has published official fuel consumption data for this vehicle. It is noteworthy that they are actually surprisingly close to those of a related model – the German BMW Z4 Roadster. In the latter, the engine has four cylinders.
So, the new Toyota Supra consumes 9.8 liters of fuel per 100 km in the city, 7.59 liters on the highway 9.04 liters in the combined cycle.
Bavarian Z4 is not much better – in the city, its engine will consume 9.41 liters, on the highway – 7.35 liters, and in the combined cycle – 8.4 liters. Moreover, its engine is 80 hp. weaker.
Toyota sells a new Supra with a 4- and 6-cylinder engine, the first option is available only for the domestic market of Japan. The car is available in three power options – 194, 255 and 335 hp
If a roadster from BMW costs at least $ 49,700, then a Toyota’s sports coupe costs $ 290 more.
