The new version of the BMW M135i demonstrates new details from M PerformanceJuly 12, 2019
The new generation of the Bavarian hatchback BMW 1-Series in a more powerful performance M135i presented with details from the catalog M Performance. A detailed video review of the direct competitor by the high-performance Mercedes-AMG A35 and Audi S3 Sportback has appeared on the foreign YouTube-channel Carvlogger.
For the sake of fairness, I must say that the M135i in this video is a special car, since this is the flagship version of the model with all-wheel drive xDrive, equipped with details from the M Performance catalog.
Let’s start with the appearance of a rather “evil” Bavarian baby, the details of M Performance are a noticeable addition – we can say that the car has changed a lot. Of course, they do not turn it into a TCR racing car, but nevertheless, the hatchback looks more impressive … Components, mainly made from forged carbon fiber – side mirrors, false radiator grille, air inlets, front splitter, side skirts, rear diffuser and rear spoiler.
From the video you can see that these parts are as functional as they are attractive. The body kit has received significant channels for the passage of air through it, which are needed to improve aerodynamics and to cool the engine and brakes. In addition, the rear spoiler looks even cooler than the Japanese rival Civic Type-R.
The M135i will have BMW’s most powerful four-cylinder engine. This is a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with a capacity of 300 horsepower. Thanks to the all-wheel drive system, acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h does not take much time, expect that the novelty will be able to reach this speed limit in about 4.0 seconds.
