Volkswagen company has published a new teaser video of the new concept, which will be presented at the Geneva Motor Show. Most likely, we are talking about an autonomous electric car called I.D. Vizzion. Judging by the video, the novelty will receive a multimedia system capable of creating three-dimensional holograms in the cabin of the car.
The novelty will be deprived of the steering wheel and pedals. The functions of the car can be controlled using voice and gestures. The overall length of the electric car, designed to demonstrate the design direction of the future cars of the German concern, will be 5.11 meters.
Volkswagen I.D. Vizzion will be equipped with an electric unit that produces 225 kW (306 horsepower). The maximum speed of the car will be 180 km per hour. A set of lithium-ion batteries will allow you to travel up to 665 kilometers without recharging.
The serial production of new generation Volkswagen electric cars will start in 2020. The first representative of the family I.D. will become a compact model, and after it will appear a crossover, minivan and a flagship sedan. By 2025 the Germans are planning to launch more than 20 cars with electric power units in the series.
