The new Toyota Yaris is fully declassified in photos of eyewitnessesOctober 15, 2019
The presentation of the next generation should take place only on October 23, 2019 as part of the Tokyo Motor Show. Nevertheless, already now the car moves freely along the night streets of the city without any camouflage.
Toyota previously officially announced the debut of the new Yaris subcompact hatchback at the Tokyo Motor Show. This is one of this month’s most anticipated premier brands. There are no official photos yet, but photos from eyewitnesses who notice the model on Japanese roads have already begun to appear on the Web. Photos were taken near the Toyota Shimoyama Technical Center in Toyota (Aichi Prefecture, Japan).
Judging by the photograph, the hatchback will receive a new radiator grille, revised bumpers and other head optics. In general, the new Yaris will become more aggressive and stylish. This is due to the emphasis of the company on the youth target audience.
The model is still the smallest in the Toyota lineup. The GA-B platform (another variation of the TNGA modular platform) is used as the basis. This can provide better handling due to the reduced center of gravity, as well as greater safety due to the stiffer body.
It’s hard to say about technical details. It can be assumed that a modern 1.2-liter turbocharged Toyota 8NR-FTS will be used. A hybrid version may also appear.
