The new Toyota crossover is called FrontlanderMay 5, 2020
Toyota registered a name for its new crossover with the PRC Patent Office. According to the portal “New Cars” on Tuesday, May 5, the model will be called Toyota Frontlander.
It is under this name that Toyota Harrier of the fourth generation will soon enter the world market.
The exterior of the Harrier 2021 model year has changed significantly when compared with its predecessor. Novelty has acquired a more rapid and aggressive appearance. A modified front panel, a virtual dashboard in flagship variations, an infotainment complex with a “floating” touch screen appeared in the car’s interior. The interior itself is trimmed with natural wood and leather.
The dimensions of Harrier have slightly increased: the length has increased by 15 mm and now is 4740 mm, the width is 1885 mm (+20 mm), and the wheelbase is 2690 mm (+30 mm), and the height has not changed – 1660 mm.
The fourth generation cross can have a 171-horsepower atmospheric engine with a volume of 2.0 liters from RAV4 under the hood or an e-Four hybrid power unit including a 2.5-liter gasoline engine with 178 hp. and an electric motor on the rear axle. Only a CVT transmission can be used as a transmission. The drive is offered both front and full.
Toyota Harrier will appear on the Japanese market on June 17 this year. In China, Toyota Frontlander will be released in the fall, and a little later, the model will be available for American buyers.
