The new Toyota crossover based on RAV4 was shown on the first teasersNovember 8, 2019
The public debut of the novelty created specifically for the Chinese car market will be held on November 22 at the Guangzhou Motor Show.
Toyota showed the first teaser images of its new Toyota Wildlander crossover based on the popular RAV4. Probably, in this way the brand decided to warm up interest in the new product before the upcoming premiere at the motor show in Guangzhou, China. Teasers reveal only certain fragments of the exterior and interior of the novelty, however, already in these details there is a connection with Toyota RAV4. From this crossover, the novelty adopted individual design elements and the body frame, but the front of the new car and its feed turned out to be quite original.
The Wildlander is 65 mm longer than the RAV4, but the rest of the parameters are the same: height – 1,680 mm, width – 1,585 mm, wheelbase – 2,690 mm.
The two-liter petrol engine with a capacity of 171 hp, combined with a CVT, as well as the 222-horsepower hybrid THS II based on a 2.5-liter gasoline engine and two electric motors entered the motor line of the novelty. For the gasoline version, front-wheel drive and four-wheel drive will be available, and for the hybrid version, only the full E-Four. The serial production of Toyota Wildlander for China will be the joint venture GAC-Toyota in Guangzhou.
Recall earlier, Mitsubishi showed the first teaser of the updated Mirage and Attrage. The compact hatchback and sedan after restyling received a spectacular X-shaped design.
