The new subcompact crossover Volkswagen T-Cross will appear in 2018August 12, 2016
Sixth generation Volkswagen Polo world premiere will be held at the Geneva Motor Show on March 2017. A year later the Germans assemble off-road version of this car on its base.
Exterior of the crossover will be in the T-Cross concept style, shown a few months ago in Geneva. Car with total length of 4133 mm is a smaller copy of the Tiguan. However, it looks more aggressive older brother due to the large fog lamps, a huge silver lining in the lower part of the bumper and the narrow elongated headlights.
At the heart of the new compact SUV, as well as Polo, is the new modular MQB platform. The base engine will serve as a three-cylinder turbo engine capacity of 1.0 liters. Also under the hood it will take root a 1.5-liter petrol engine and two-liter four-cylinder engine with a turbocharged version GTI. But a car will probably get not turbodiesels.
As an option you can order adaptive suspension and all-wheel drive transmission, and innovative multimedia system and a whole range of driver assistance systems.
The crossover will be released in 2018. A year later, the Germans promised to release a version of the open car. Incidentally, the name T-Cross – not definitive and may change until the model is available for sale.
