The new SCG 007C hypercar will receive a powerful Twin-Turbo V8 engineApril 26, 2020
The American company Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus, or SCG for short, is preparing a new hypercar to compete in the Le Mans 24 Hours endurance race. The novelty will receive the designation SCG 007C, as well as the Twin-Turbo V8 engine.
Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus is eager to take part in the Le Mans endurance race with its new SGC 007C hypercar. It is with this car that the company will participate in the newly formed WEC Hypercar class. In order to prepare their new product as much as possible, SCG engineers work closely with the legendary French engine manufacturer Pipo Moteurs. The latter designed and built the twin-turbocharged V8 for the SCG 007C.
It must be said that with its other models, such as the SCG003, the automaker was already able to show its high potential in the 24-hour Nurburgring race, taking first places for three consecutive years.
Representatives of the company believe that the careful development of the aerodynamic body kit of their car is a key factor in achieving victory. The same SCG003 is handcrafted at the Glickenhaus plant in New York (USA), and uses a 4.4-liter BMW engine with two turbines.
In order to compete on equal terms in the new WMP LMP-Hypercar class with eminent rivals and achieve a common victory at Le Mans, Glickenhaus believes that cooperation with French engineers from Pipo Moteurs is a key component for achieving victory.
