The French company Renault has announced the launch of the European sales of the new hatchback Renault Clio with a “fresh” portion of the long-awaited new shots.
Renault has announced the release of its Clio 2020 hatchback model year on the European market. In honor of the start of sales, the manufacturer has published a series of official pictures of new items made in Portugal. These photos show two versions of the updated hatchback: Intens and RS Line. It is also known that Europeans will be offered the Renault Clio and in the modification Initiale Paris. Recall, Clio 2020 gets a new modular platform CMF-B and a specially designed chassis for it. In addition, working on the fifth generation of Clio, Renault engineers improved the car’s handling.
Thus, through the efforts of specialists, the gear ratio of the steering rack was reduced from 15.2 to 14.4, which made the hatchback more “responsive” and reliable. The turning radius has also decreased (from 10.8 to 10.5 meters), which made the new Clio an ideal citycar. The suspension was also optimized and the brakes adjusted.
New Renault Clio for the first time got a hybrid modification. The structure of such a power plant includes a modern 1.6-liter gasoline engine, two electric motors, a battery with a capacity of 1.2 kW / h and a multi-mode gearbox. The standard engine range consists of new petrol engines for 1 and 1.3 liters, as well as a 1.5-liter diesel engine with a return of 65 or 130 horsepower. All in all, motorists will be able to choose from nine combinations of motor / gearbox.
The Clio 2020 options list now features multimedia with a seven or 9.3 inch touchscreen and support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as a range of electronic driver assistants.
