The new Renault Clio will be presented this fall in ParisJanuary 8, 2018
The French compact will pay tribute to the fashion and will receive a hybrid version.
In September this year, at an international automobile exhibition in Paris, Renault will introduce a new Clio hatchback. His sales will begin as early as 2019. Design novelty will be inspired by the concept of Symbioz and the elder brother of Megane.
The current Renault Clio is in production from 2012, making it one of the oldest models in the segment of compact hatchbacks. Therefore this year the French brand will introduce a new fifth generation.
In an effort to minimize production costs, Renault left the next Clio on the former CMF-B architecture. However, it still received some refinements, thanks to which in the engine range will be available 0.9-liter three-cylinder turbocharged engine and a new 1.3-liter unit. It is not clear yet whether there will be turbodiesels, because in the European market because of Dieselgate refuse cars on heavy fuel. Instead, the company will release a soft hybrid version with a 48-volt starter-generator. Plug-in hybrid Clio is not provided.
It is expected that in 2019 Renault Clio will receive a basic semi-autonomous control, which will allow you to steer, accelerate and brake to a complete stop.
