The company Fiat-Chrysler has prepared a special commercial for broadcasting during the final of the playoffs of the league on American football Super Bowl 2018. The video is dedicated to the Ram 1500 pickup of a new generation.

The video shows the difficult journey of the Vikings from Iceland to Minnesota, where the Super Bowl 2018 was held. For this the Scandinavians use a new pickup along with the traditional Drakkar. It is believed that it was the Vikings who were the first settlers in Minnesota. All the action takes place under the accompaniment of Queen’s hit “We Will Rock You” and national Icelandic motifs. The body of the pickup truck was decorated with the Viking shields along with the Drakkar.

The Ram company has revealed the new generation of its pick-up 1500 at the last motor show in Detroit. The car became noticeably lighter than its predecessor. Thus, one car cabin lost more than 100 kilograms in weight. Another 6 kg managed to save on the flip side, thanks to the use of aluminum parts, the weight of the pickup dropped by 45 kg at once.

For the first time the pickup will be offered to customers with a hybrid power plant. The system called E-Torque can work together with a 3.6-liter V6 engine and a 5.7-liter V8 unit. The technology uses a 48-volt generator that helps with low-speed acceleration, and also serves to save fuel. A lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 0.43 kWh is located at the rear of the cab.

The innovation provides an additional 122 Nm engine V6 and 176 Nm for the V8. The engine capacity is 305 hp and 395 hp respectively. The units work together with an eight-speed gearbox. Later, customers will be offered a 3.0-liter diesel engine EcoDiesel V6.
