The debut of the new version took place at the international automobile exhibition in Toronto.

The American manufacturer Ram Truck introduced a special version of the Ram 1500 pickup truck of a new generation called Sport exclusively for the Canadian market.

Over the course of 2017, Canada sold over 100,000 units of pickup trucks and Ram trucks. According to the executive director of FCA Canada, Reed Bigland, this market is one of the key for them, and therefore for him they offer a unique version of this year’s novelty.

Sport version of Ram 1500 differs new external styling and additional options inside the cabin. From the exterior all the chrome moldings were gone. They were replaced with matte black. Also, the grille of the radiator and the huge brand logo became black.

The new Ram 1500 Sport received a set of black and white 20-inch alloy wheels. Option is a set of disks “Black Noise” with a diameter of 22 inches. This size drives are first proposed for all-wheel drive Ram pickups. On the back door there is a badge “Sport”.

The interior was also finished in black and dark gray tones. For the special version of Sport standard is a multimedia system Uconnect with 8.4-inch screen.

Ram 1500 Sport will be offered in Canada with a 5.7-liter V8 engine equipped with a 48-volt starter-generator. The engine’s power is 395 horsepower and 555 Nm of torque. The thrust of the engine is transmitted to the wheels by an eight-speed automatic transmission. Buyers will be able to choose between the rear-wheel drive transmission and the all-wheel drive system.

Sales of the Ram 1500 Sport start in the second quarter of 2018. Prices will be published closer to the date of sale. Recall that the new generation of pickup Ram 1500 was presented in January this year at the Auto Show in Detroit. From this moment the novelty has already received one more special version of Laramie Longhorn.
