The new Mercedes-Benz GLE was taught to jump out of the sandAugust 7, 2018
The company Mercedes-Benz has taught off-road car GLE of a new generation to get out of the sand. The model received a special mode of anti-slip system, in which a machine equipped with an air suspension can “jump”, helping the driver. Video with a demonstration of the system is published on the YouTube channel of the publication Car and Driver.
The new Mercedes-Benz GLE will be equipped with an active spring-loaded suspension that will allow you to monitor each wheel separately and adjust the stiffness of the shock absorbers depending on the traffic situation. In addition, the SUV will receive a central differential with an electronically controlled wet clutch, as well as an optional two-stage dispenser.
A similar mode of operation of the anti-slip system is also found in Toyota. It is part of the off-road cruise control Crawl Control, which, thanks to pre-defined work algorithms, helps the car to move over uneven or loose surfaces.
