The new Mercedes-Benz C-Class is again seen in testsJanuary 23, 2020
The Mercedes-Benz C-Class is an important model for the brand, which will receive a substantial overhaul in the 2021 model year, replacing a generation.
The new spy photos show a test mule with much less camouflage film than before, which allows us to consider the design of the sedan, including the Panamericana grille along with other styling elements.
The rear end has not changed much, although horizontal LED lights are visible through camouflage. In any case, you should not expect a radically new design language from C-Class, since the main changes are inside.
The new generation C-Class is based on a modified version of the Mercedes MRA2 platform, the second generation of rear-wheel drive brand architecture. The new base will allow Mercedes-Benz to keep the sedan in its current dimensions while increasing the internal space for passengers, as well as install the necessary hybrid and plug-in hybrid components without sacrificing space inside.
As in previous versions of the C-Class, the automaker will offer many options for power plants from four to six cylinders. In addition, in the future the model will be electrified and will receive a “charged” modification of AMG and an off-road version in a station wagon. The Mercedes-Benz C-Class is expected to debut by the end of 2020.
