Super Hybrid McLaren Speedtail can accelerate to 100 km/h in 2 seconds

McLaren is testing two versions of the Speedtail hypermark: prototypes with a full and rear drive. According to insiders, the latter is able to accelerate to 100 km/h in two seconds – 0.5 seconds faster than Bugatti Chiron and at 0.8 – extreme McLaren Senna.

TheSupercarBlog reports that the all-wheel drive will make the hypercar heavier, but it will improve the grip of the wheels with the road. However, engineers intend to avoid increasing the mass, as additional kilograms will add a battery pack of the hybrid installation.

According to rumors, it will be based on the modified four-liter twin-turbo V8 engine from the racing McLaren 570S GT4. The total output will exceed 1000 horsepower. Speedtail will be able to accelerate to 391 kilometers per hour, but the brand management does not plan to set any speed records.
