The new Mazda CX-30 with stylish design and new technologies is presented in GenevaMarch 5, 2019
The future serial version of the presented crossover will take the step between the current versions of the CX-3 and the CX-5. The car is built on the new architecture of Skyactiv-Vehicle Mazda and will get a wide engine range.
A month ago, Mazda introduced the first teaser of a new compact crossover, and we assumed about the upcoming debut of the next generation Mazda CX-3. However, this did not happen today at the Geneva Motor Show, instead the company introduced a completely new CX-30 model, which will be one step higher than the CX-3.
The crossover got a more “solid” design, although it didn’t go away from the family style and is still strictly identified with the entire Mazda model line. The proportions are balanced, and the car looks a bit less aggressive than the CX-5. The CX-30 is based on the evolution of the Skyactiv-Vehicle Mazda architecture, which is used in the new Mazda3. Its length is 4395 mm, width 1795, and the wheelbase is 2655 mm, which makes it much longer and slightly wider than the CX-3.
In the engine lineup of the novelty, it will be possible to note a number of gasoline and diesel engines that fully comply with the environmental standards of Euro-6. All gasoline engines will work as part of the soft hybrid Mazda M Hybrid to improve efficiency. The CX-30 also gets the newest Mazda Skyactiv-X engine, which uses a unique combustion method that combines the advantages of gasoline and diesel engines.
Unfortunately, the company has not yet announced the exact date for the model to enter the market, the price tag also remains unknown
