The new compact crossover Mazda CX-30 went on sale this summer. In the motor range of the car, which is based on the Skyactiv-Vehicle platform, there are currently one diesel and two gasoline engines.
However, already in October at the Tokyo Motor Show, a presentation of the all-electric variation of the model will take place. Recently, the debut shots of the novelty and some information about its technical equipment were circulated on the Internet.
Judging by the photos, the external difference of the electric Mazda CX-30 will be that it will receive a radiator grill, a hatch for connecting the cable to the charging station on the right rear wing, while remaining without silencers.
The novelty will be equipped with an electric motor with a capacity of 143 horsepower and a set of batteries with a capacity of 35.5 kW / h. The maximum power reserve is currently kept secret.
It should be mentioned that the regular CX-30 model has a 1.8-liter diesel engine with 116 hp. and torque of 270 Nm. In addition, the engine lineup has a naturally-aspirated 2-liter gasoline engine rated at 150 hp. and modern Skyactiv-X with 180 hp Together with the power units, there is a 48-volt starter-generator.
