The new Kia Sportage first captured on the roadJuly 15, 2020
A reader at The Korean Car Blog published a fifth-generation Kia Sportage cross concept photo. According to insiders, the model will appear no earlier than next year.
Initially, Kia planned to start selling the updated Sportage before the end of this year. But in this case, the cross-country concepts should have already been sent for testing on landfills and on public roads.
The KCB portal, relying on the Bobaedream forum, informs that the appearance of the 5th generation of Sportage was postponed to the middle of 2021. This decision was made because the specialists of the Korean brand decided to make changes to the crossover design. In April of this year, information appeared that Luke Donkerwolke was resigning as chief designer of the Hyundai Motor Group. It is possible that it was this circumstance that contributed to the revision of the approach to the development of new items.
As the publication notes, the updated cross will be offered both in the standard version and in a variation with a long wheelbase. The latest modification will be focused on the South Korean and European markets. There is currently no information on the technical equipment of the new product.
In addition, previously on the Internet published images of the new KIA Sedona. The updated minivan should go in South Korea in the third quarter of this year.
