The new Kia Niro 2020 model year introduced in AmericaNovember 21, 2019
At the auto show in Los Angeles, the presentation of the updated Kia Niro crossover in a variation of Hybrid and PHEV was held.
The updated Niro model has got a modified front part, consisting of new headlights with sharp edges and a radiator grill with a mesh insert that creates a more aggressive look. Chevron-shaped LED running lights are located in the lower corners of the front panel. Behind the designers of the Japanese brand made minor changes to the lights.
Inside, Niro now has a multimedia system with an 8-inch display. The optional 10.25-inch display features navigation and a Harman / Kardon stereo system. The company also changed the style settings in the instrument cluster, including improved graphics for displaying drive mode information.
The remaining new available options consist of special switches that act as controls for active regenerative braking, as well as an electronic parking brake and decorative lighting in six shades. Accessible driver assistance technology is expanding with the addition of a lane keeping assistant and high beam assistance.
The only part Niro left without updates is the transmission. In addition to the available engines, the car acquired a hybrid and PHEV. Sales of the updated cross in North America should begin at the beginning of next year, but Kia has kept the cost of new items secret.
