The Croatian company Rimac presented at the Geneva Motor Show its new electric hypercar, called C_Two. According to some of its dynamic characteristics, the coupe is superior to the prototype Tesla Roaster, which debuted in November last year.
At the heart of the Rimac C_Two is a carbon monocoque and a two-link suspension with adjustable shock absorbers with electronic control. Hypercar received an electric motor on each axis, which in total develops 1914 hp. and 2300 Nm of torque. The engines are paired with a special single-stage gear.
Rimac C_Two is able to accelerate from place to 100 km / h in 1.85 seconds – 0.05 seconds faster than the prototype Tesla Roadster. To accelerate to 160 km / h requires only 4.5 seconds. The maximum speed of the car was 415 km per hour.
The novelty has received six-piston carbon-ceramic brake mechanisms with 390-millimeter disks in front and behind. The novelty was completed with a set of lithium-ion batteries for 120 kWh, which allow you to travel without charging up to 650 kilometers. You can replenish the stock of batteries by 80% in just 30 minutes.
The developers claim that the Rimac C_Two used the autopilot of the fourth level. This means that the car is able to move independently, but the driver at any time can take control of himself.
Rimac C_Two received the face recognition system of the owner. When approaching the car, the electronics unlock the doors, and also apply various individual host settings.
The circulation of Rimac C_Two will be limited to 150 copies. According to preliminary data, the cost of the car will exceed two million dollars.
