The novelty will be presented in Korea before the end of September. In the meantime, the company continues road trials of test prototypes, where one of them came across to photo spies. The new G80 will incorporate the next generation Genesis design philosophy.
The premium Genesis brand from the South Korean concern Hyundai is preparing to launch an updated flagship. Until the end of the month will be presented sedan G80. According to the company itself, the car will receive the development of corporate style in a new generation. In part, we could see this on the Essentia and GV80 concepts.
“We will have a new G80, which will be released in September this year in Korea, and then on world markets. With this vehicle, you will see the next evolution of our design language, ” – said Genesis CEO Manfred Fitzgerald.
As the power unit will be used motors of two new families from the Hyundai Motor Group. The first will be the 2.5-liter Theta III cylinder engine, offered with a Twin-Turbo system and an ultimate power of 300 hp. Also in the line is expected a 3.3-liter turbo engine with unknown power, and a 3.5-liter top-end engine for the G80 Sport version. There is also speculation that the model will receive a 3.0-liter V6 diesel, as well as a hybrid version.
Unfortunately, the cost and date of entry into other markets has not yet been disclosed.
Meanwhile, the interior of the new Genesis GV70 SUV was declassified in photographs. The serial version of the new model will be released only in 2021.
