The new generation Porsche 911 completely unveiledAugust 3, 2018
In the near future one can expect the public debut of the new generation of the Porsche 911 sports car. This is indicated by the fact that the car appeared on public roads without any camouflage.
In the network there was a series of “spy” photos of the new generation Porsche 911. Moreover, the car appeared in public completely in serial form without a single camouflaged element. And the approximate date of the official presentation is scheduled for October this year at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
Judging by the recent photos, Porsche retained its traditions and left the sport car with an authentic look that has not changed since the model was created. Thus, the company emphasizes the “ideal” of their cars, and the fans of the company and the 911 in particular continue to stay with it.
So, the Porsche 911 in the 992 generation received revised front and rear bumpers with a different form of air intake and diffuser. The front optics remained practically unchanged, but it is possible that the new design hides completely new technologies. Rear optics based on LED matrices received a new design and visually connected to a single unit through a narrow luminous band.
In addition, the new generation is characterized by a closer arrangement of the exhaust pipe, a new bonnet design, and the possible appearance of an active rear wing, which will be pulled out by means of a hydraulic system if necessary.
Unfortunately so far there is very little information about the future novelty, but it is already known that the model will be built on the basis of the new MMB platform. This will reduce the weight of the sports car due to the more extensive application of a strong aluminum alloy. Later, this platform can migrate to new versions of Cayman and Boxter.
There is a possibility that the future Porsche 911 GT3 will be equipped with a turbo engine for 500 horsepower. Moreover, the line of atmospheric engines will be significantly reduced, and will become the prerogative for limited versions.
It is possible that Turbo S will receive a top-end version of the opposite engine with two turbines and 3.8 liters of working capacity. The power of the unit can be raised to a mark of 630 horsepower. This will help the updated coupe to compete with the current version of the Ferrari 488 GTB.
Also, soon the first serial electric car from Porsche will be released to the market. Until then, the technical specifications of the Taycan model were kept secret, and were based on the concept, but now the company completely declassified them.
